CAA licensed aerial video and photography for property, construction, events and commercial productions. Every shot planned, directed and delivered by Bentley Studios Manchester.
Anyone with a drone and a CAA licence can put a camera in the air. The question is what they do with it once it's up there.
Aerial footage that works commercially is not about altitude - it is about direction. The approach angle chosen for a property reveal. The altitude decision on a construction site overview. The timing of a crowd aerial at an event. These are directorial decisions, and they are the difference between aerial footage that impresses and aerial footage that earns its place in the edit.
At Bentley Studios, every drone shoot is directed the same way every ground-level production is directed - with the brief in mind before the controller leaves the case. Twenty years of commercial experience applied to 400 feet of altitude. The results look different because the thinking is different.
The brief changes. The approach to getting the shot doesn't.
Exterior flyovers, approach shots, neighbourhood context and rooftop detail — aerial content that gives buyers and tenants the perspective a ground-level camera never can.
From a single residential property to a large estate development. Delivered as video, stills, or both from the same shoot.
Site progress documentation, stakeholder update reels, planning application support and infrastructure overviews. Aerial content that communicates scale and progress in a way ground-level photography simply cannot.
Scheduled shoot programmes available for long-term construction projects — one brief, consistent coverage throughout the build.
Crowd aerials, venue establishing shots, outdoor festival coverage and live event support. Coordinated with event organisers and venues in advance for safe, compliant airspace operation.
Event aerial footage is time-critical by nature. Pre-event planning and a confirmed flight window are standard on every event brief.
B-roll aerial support for commercial productions, branded films and broadcast content. Integrated seamlessly with ground-based Bentley Studios production for a consistent visual language across every shot.
One brief covers both aerial and ground-level production — no coordination overhead, no mismatched visual language, no second invoice.
A free 30-minute call. We talk through your goals, your audience, your timeline and your budget. No pitch, no pressure - just an honest conversation about whether we're the right fit and what the production should look like.
A Kick-Off call or meeting. Once briefed and agreed, we handle everything before the shoot. Script or storyboard development, location scouting, talent briefing, shot list, call sheet and logistics. You review and approve before a single camera leaves the case.
Shoot day. The brief is executed - with the flexibility and creative judgement that 20 years of commercial experience provides. Crew is scaled to the brief: solo for lean social shoots, full crew for larger commercial productions.
Edit, colour grade, sound design, motion graphics and music. You receive a first cut for review within the agreed turnaround. Revision rounds are included depending on your package — all tracked clearly with no surprise charges.
Final files delivered in every format you need — broadcast masters, web-optimised MP4s, platform-specific exports. All usage rights transferred on final payment. Archive copies retained for 12 months.

Yes. Commercial drone operators in the UK must hold a valid CAA Flyer ID and Operator ID. Bentley Studios Manchester holds both and operates in full compliance with UK drone regulations, including VLOS requirements and restricted airspace protocols. Bentley Studios Manchester also holds the appropriate A2 Certificate of Competency for compliant commercial C2 operations. Documentation available on request.
Manchester city centre falls within controlled and restricted airspace zones. Flights in these areas require prior permission from the relevant air traffic control authority. Bentley Studios handles all airspace applications as part of the pre-production process. If a location is flyable, we'll fly it. If it isn't, we'll tell you honestly and suggest alternatives - not string the brief along.
Drone operations are weather-dependent. We monitor conditions closely in the days before every shoot and will reschedule if wind, rain or visibility make safe flight impossible. Rescheduling due to weather is never charged. Meteorological checks are part of the pre-flight planning on every shoot.
Drone shoots at Bentley Studios Manchester start from £250. Combined drone and ground-level production packages are available with integrated pricing that reflects the efficiency of producing both in a single engagement. View full pricing at bentleystudios.co.uk/pricing.

Yes - and it's almost always the right approach. Every Bentley Studios drone shoot can deliver both 6K video footage and 100MP aerial photography from the same session. Combined delivery is the most cost-effective option for clients who need both formats - and the visual consistency of having both captured in the same conditions by the same operator is a significant production advantage.
